My Amazing Home is an MTV inspired concept tv show, showcasing different unique homes. In order to give a sneak peak of some of the homes viewers will get to see in the show, I created an intro sequence using motion tracking and 3D modeling. This project used a combination of After effects, Illustrator, and Blender.
I started off with a mood board to lay out color palettes, typeface choices, locations, and additional ideas. Because the models I was required to use were magical and fun, I leaned into that style.
Next, I created the logo to represent the fantastical wonder of My Amazing Home. I took inspiration from different house styles and shapes as well as different individual parts of houses such as the doors and windows. I continued with number 4 because the letters were easily recognizable, but the idea of a door opening into another world really sold the fantasy feeling.
In order to have an idea of how to film and what the final product would look like, I created storyboards. I came up with the idea to use the butterfly in the logo as a moving piece that connects the entire intro together, making it more fun and cohesive.
Through this project, I was able to enhance my skills in shape keys, motion tracking, particle systems, and more complicated 3D animation than I was previously capable of.
